We are based in Sabah rather than writing about it from elsewhere, which means we can call operators directly, verify figures in the same time zone, and correct pages when regulations change rather than months afterwards.
Contributors. Site profiles, conditions and marine life notes are compiled with dive staff at Borneo Divers Mabul Resort, who dive these sites daily and know them considerably better than any writer does.

It costs you nothing. The rates published here are the operator's own published rates. Booking through us is not more expensive than booking direct.
We tell you when a cheaper option exists. Non-Sipadan packages, shorter stays and off-peak dates all appear on this site because they are sometimes the right answer. We would rather you book the trip that suits you than the one that pays us most.
Sipadan is a destination where published information is frequently wrong. Permit quotas have changed several times, dive-count rules changed in 2022 and again in 2026, and most competing pages carry figures written years ago and never revisited.
Rates are supplied directly by Remarkable Borneo Travel & Tours and re-confirmed each season. Every page carrying a rate shows the date it was last checked.
Permit figures and regulations are confirmed with Sabah Parks and our operating partner. Where sources genuinely disagree — as they do on the daily quota — we say so and explain why rather than picking a number and asserting it.
Site conditions and marine life come from dive staff who work these sites daily, not from other websites.
